An opportunity has just opened up to do a Scottish Government internship on an important, WiSA-related topic.

Working with Marine Scotland, the intern will take forward a research project called ‘A Review of Barriers to Entry, Retention, and Progression of Women in Scottish Aquaculture’.

The aim of this project is to produce an in-depth review of the barriers affecting women from entering, staying, and advancing in Scotland’s aquaculture industry, and to present findings and recommendations to WiSA. It will also cover how these barriers sit alongside barriers to entering, staying, and progressing within the aquaculture industry more generally.

The internship will last for three months and would ideally begin in April or May of 2020, however, timings will be agreed with the successful applicant.

The application deadline is Monday 24 February 2020 at 5pm.

Information on Scottish Government internships can be found here, and full details about the WiSA internship are available here.
