On the sad loss of Dr John Rogers

Today, it was with deep shock and sadness we learned that our colleague, Dr John Rogers, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend.

This is a devastating loss to his family and friends; to the University of Stirling, where John was Executive Director of Research, Innovation and Business Engagement; and to the research community both nationally and internationally.

John was involved with the formation of SAIC, and has guided and supported the organisation ever since as the University's representative on our board. 

He gave generously of his time, and the insights he offered were always highly valuable and well considered. John had an impressive ability to get to the heart of even the most complex matter, while always putting people first.

We will miss John greatly, and our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family at this extremely difficult time.
